TikTok Donates $10M to WHO for COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund

Countries like Italy, which are heavily infected, claim that the virus is spreading and will kill more people if people don’t take adequate precautions. In this hard time, many companies and big brands are coming forward to help WHO. Tiktok also joined hands with the WHO to fight against the novel coronavirus. As their first step in the long battle to come, they have pledged $10 million for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Gucci also initiated to fight against the spreading disease.

Tiktok recently said that it was tough to see the real heroes, the medical professionals battling this disease day and night with all possible energy they have. They further added that TikTok believes it is essential to do everything possible in order to help the global health community against this virus. Hence, TikTok has decided to donate $10 million to the WHO for COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund to stop this spreading of disease along with the rest of the world. They said that these funds would help WHO in raising necessary accommodations like sending supplies to the health workers. In addition, it will help in the development of cure and vaccination for the disease.

TikTok Fights Against Corona by Donating COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund

Before TikTok, many other big platforms such as Facebook and Google already have joined hands with helping people to fight against the COVID-19. Facebook has already contributed and has donated more than $100 million to different sections and organizations. It includes WHO. While Google has promised several million in upcoming times. Even Linked-In came forward during the hard times and has donated $22milion for this battle against the coronavirus.

Tiktok is a big platform and has attracted a lot of users around the globe and is in an excellent position to appreciate and try awarding people of the coronavirus. They can help with their platform by encouraging youngsters to spread awareness and be hygienic and protective against COVID-19.

They are also looking forward to promoting the legitimate and official information and notices that get published by the WHO. Tiktok made initiatives like partnering with them via a medium such as live video streams to make people aware of the symptoms and spread of the disease. They can easily inspire a lot of youngsters from their medium and make them join hands against the novel coronavirus.

TikTok’s donations to WHO of $10 million will make its commitment to the cause. It will help TikTok to spread its network even to the local authorities and communities. However, this is not the primary concern right now.
