1. Honey Lemon Scrub

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Make a paste with said ingredients and apply onto your body and gently massage for 2 minutes. Use warm water to wash it off.

Lemon has anti-oxidant and acidic properties that cleanse the skin, while honey moisturizes and lightens skin. Sugar is an excellent exfoliator.

2. Coconut Oil DIY Body Scrub

  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ½ cup of coconut oil

Mix these two together and apply the resulting paste onto yourself, in gentle circular motions. Do this for about 10-15 minutes.

This scrub rejuvenates your skin making it more supple and younger-looking. Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer and delays the appearance of wrinkles, while sugar removes dead skin and black-heads.

3. Sugar and Coffee Cellulite Dissolving Scrub

  • 3 tsp ground coffee
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive/coconut oil
  • 3 Vitamin E capsules

Prepare this DIY scrub to get rid of all that pesky cellulite. Once you have made a paste using these ingredients, apply it onto each part, and gently massage for about 10 minutes. You can even get a saran wrap and wrap it around the thighs or other areas you feel to have a lot of cellulite.

Caffeine is known to increase blood flow and reduce the appearance of cellulite in the body, while Vitamin E has anti-oxidant and anti-aging properties and aids in delaying the process of wrinkling. The oil keeps your skin moisturized and sugar exfoliates.

4. Yoghurt Glow DIY Body Scrub

  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Take a bowl and add the above-mentioned ingredients and make a paste. Apply this to your skin and massage for about 5 minutes and wash off with a gentle hydrating body wash.

Yogurt has lactic acid which is highly beneficial to the skin. This scrub not only moisturizes your skin but also helps treat sunburns, reduces tan, lightens overall skin tone, prevents acne, and keeps skin moisturized and soft.

5. Coco-turmeric Body Scrub

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 ½ cup of coconut oil
  • 2 tsp organic turmeric

This scrub may cause a slight burning sensation, due to the turmeric, but that’s normal. Wash with lukewarm water after leaving it on for about 2-3 minutes.

A coconut and turmeric scrub, not only smells good but also makes your skin sparkle. Turmeric has antiseptic properties which prevent breakouts and also reduce inflammation. Coconut oil also contains anti-oxidants and possesses anti-aging properties, apart from keeping the skin moisturized.
