X, formerly known as Twitter, is down in India and across several parts of the world following a major data center outage. Users have reported difficulties in logging in, viewing posts, and accessing essential features on both the app and website.
According to real-time tracking service Downdetector, user complaints about the X outage began spiking around 6 PM IST on Saturday, with over 2,000 reports in India alone. In the United States, outage reports soared to more than 26,000, indicating a widespread disruption.

The company’s engineering team confirmed that the platform is still facing technical challenges due to a data center issue reported on Friday. In a statement, they noted:
“We’re still experiencing issues from yesterday’s data centre outage. Login and signup services are unavailable for some users, and there may be delays in notifications and Premium features.”
