Just like other social media platforms, Instagram has been experimenting with new features to make your experience more fun. In every few months, Instagram comes out with exciting Instagram features. Honestly, it’s very interesting to see how the apps keep up with the latest trends.

Instagram features never disappoints us whether it’s new stickers or filters. So here, I’m going to talk about Instagram new updates that recently rolled out some exciting Instagram features.
1. Ad Section in Explore Page
Instagram has introduced a separate advertisement section in explore page. People spend a lot of time on explore page in comparison to other pages. So, now if someone is interested in buying something via Instagram, they can easily explore the advertisement section. Explore page suggests you the ads related to the post you already liked.
2. Chat Sticker
Instagram knows how to keep its user’s story interesting. The app always tries to come up with very engaging and addictive stickers. Last year, when they released “Ask Me a Question” sticker, it blew up for 2-3 days. All you could see was that question sticker on every story of Instagram users. Such stickers let you connect with your followers.
Recently, Instagram rolled out Join Chat Sticker where you can invite your followers in a group chat. When your follower clicks on the sticker, it will send you a request. Later, you can approve or reject the request according to your liking.
3. Post on Multiple Accounts
So, if you have multiple accounts and you want to post the same picture on your all accounts then this feature can be quite helpful. Now, with an easy toggle, you can post the image or video without any hustle. It also comes in handy for business accounts.
Plenty of times, you’ll see yourself editing the picture and writing the perfect long caption and suddenly you realize you’re on the wrong account. At that time you can easily turn off the post of the wrong account and turn on the one you want to post in.
4. Alt Text
Personally, this is my favorite feature of Instagram now. Alt Text lets you describe your picture for the visually impaired people. With this feature, visually impaired users will hear your image description and enjoy using the app. Instagram can automatically generate the description or you can write it yourself. Any which way, it’s a great step for an app to take. Kudos to Instagram!
5. Add Post to Your Story
Now, you don’t have to take the screenshot of your favorite celebrity’s post and then clean the border and then post it on your story. If the account is public, you can directly share their post as your story. Instagram will automatically provide you with a suitable background. It goes with Instagram quotes as well. People share a lot of quotes on their stories. Here, you can share the quote and credit the writer as well as it directly links your story to the post.
6. Track Your Activity
There is no denying that Instagram is addictive. I am scrolling Instagram while writing this article. No kidding! You need to keep a track on your daily activity on the app. Instagram rolled out a new feature where you can see the number of hours you spend on the app on a daily basis. The first step to solve a problem is to acknowledge that you have a problem. Check your daily usage and monitor your timing.
7. Live Q&A: Instagram New Updates
It’s been a while since Instagram introduced the live feature and Q&A sticker. Recently, Instagram combined these two features. Now, your followers can drop a question in the Q&A box. It will be easy for people to reply while being live on Instagram.
8. Verify me
If you’re not a celebrity or a big influencer but you want that verification mark (Blue tick as shown above) on your profile. Guess what? You can now apply for that. You just have to meet some criteria and you can be the verified account holder. Isn’t that cool?
9. No More Likes!
There were a lot of rumors about Instagram removing the number of likes from your posts. In the sense, that you’ll be able the number of likes on your post but, not your followers. Instagram has now confirmed the rumor. They are testing the feature in 7 regions. A number of likes will be hidden in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Italy, Ireland, New Zealand, and Japan.
10. Close Friends
Now you can filter your stories to your exclusive followers or your really close friends. This comes handy if you’re running a business account and want to share some BTS videos or coupons to your exclusive customers. Even if you have a bunch of close friends and want to share a story with them.
Instagram is known for keeping its platform interesting. I never get disappointed with the Instagram new updates as it always rolls out cool features every month. That’s what makes Instagram so addictive and enjoyable. I am personally waiting for Dark Instagram. Wouldn’t that be cool?
